The HCOPT course, which is required yearly, is reset every year on July 1st. All other courses are reset every two years. (Example: If you complete the HCOPT course on September 1st 2024, the certificate is valid until September 1st 2025, however you are eligible for recertification beginning July 1st 2025)
What kind of training do I need to maintain my license?
Each foster parent is required to complete at least 30 hours of training during a two-year period (15 hours per year), prior to the two-year renewal point.
